How much is shipping, handling and processing?
S&H is a flat rate of $5 for all orders; expedited 5-7 day shipping is also available for $15.00. There is a $10 surcharge for orders going to Alaska and Hawaii. We do not currently ship to Canada, Puerto Rico, or other U.S. territories.
How long will my order take to process and ship?
After you place your order, you'll receive an initial email with your order conformation. That is followed by a second email once the order is processed with tracking and final order information. Processing an order takes between 24 and 48 hours. Please allow 10-15 days for shipping once the order is processed. Expedited 5-7 day shipping is available for a $5 surcharge.
Does my PackIt come with a manufacturer's warranty?
Yes, it's covered by a one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper use, normal wear and tear, accidents or improper handling. If you feel you have a defective product, you must email firstname.lastname@example.org to begin the warranty claim process.
What is your return policy?
If you are unhappy with your PackIt purchase for any reason, you may return it within 30 days of purchase and we will refund the price of the product. Please note that we do NOT refund shipping and handling charges.

How long does it take to freeze PackIt bags?
PackIt bags require a full 12-14 hours in the freezer to achieve optimal cooling power. For faster freezing, unfold the PackIt and lay it flat in the rear of the freezer (close to the ice maker if applicable). If you’re freezing more than one PackIt at a time, it may take longer for the bags to fully freeze. Space them as far apart from each other as possible in the freezer and allow for at least 14 hours of freezing time.
How long do PackIt bags stay frozen?
PackIt is designed to keep food and drinks cold for several hours under normal room-temperature conditions (70°F/21 °C). However, the number of hours at which the bag itself stays frozen depends on external temperatures and use. Expect shorter cooling power in warm environments, particularly during the summer months. Also, if you open your PackIt frequently, it won’t stay cool quite as long. You can extend the cooling power of your PackIt by filling it with foods and drinks that are already frozen.
Can I keep hot food or a hot thermos in my PackIt?
A frozen PackIt is not optimal for a hot thermos. However, an unfrozen PackIt will insulate and keep hot items warm.
Is PackIt approved for air travel?
As you may know, no travel products are officially approved or sanctioned by the TSA. In practice, however, PackIt employees who travel with the bags weekly have never been stopped or questioned at security—except to be asked by agents where they can get a PackIt of their own!
According to the TSA, freezer packs and frozen gel packs are permitted through security, but they are treated as liquids unless they are frozen solid at the checkpoint. To be on the safe side, it’s best to take your PackIt out of the freezer and pack up just before you leave the house so it’s still frozen by the time you get through security. If you’re not planning on using it on your return trip, remember to pack it in your checked baggage to avoid any issues at security checkpoints.
Is PackIt safe for use by children?
Absolutely. PackIt products are made from food-safe, nontoxic poly canvas and EVA and are free of harmful PVC, BPA, phthalates, formaldehyde and lead. Because PackIt was invented and founded by a single mother of three, consumer safety is a priority for our company. PackIt hand-picks factories with the highest levels of quality control and has set strict guidelines and standards that our products must uphold during the development and manufacturing processes. All of our products are tested by independent, accredited third-party laboratories and have met all applicable standards set forth by OEHHA Proposition 65 and Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA), including those for BPA, lead and phthalates. They also pass the more stringent products conform to all current U.S., Canadian and European safety standards.
What is the best way to clean my PackIt?
Hand wash the interior of your PackIt with mild soap and warm water or wipe thoroughly with an all-purpose antibacterial wipe. You can spot clean the exterior or submerge the cooler in water and wash with a gentle sponge. You must allow the PackIt to air dry completely with the flap open before freezing to prevent frost from forming on the bag. PackIts are not washing machine-, dryer-, dishwasher-, or microwave-safe. Do not use bleach or any other chemicals other than laundry detergent to clean the bag.
Will condensation form inside the PackIt?
It depends on the external environment and the items placed inside the bag. The PackIt is intended for use with frozen, refrigerated or room-temperature food and drinks. If warm items are placed inside the frozen cooler or if the cooler is used in a hot environment, some condensation may occur. However, the bag is waterproof so any moisture inside will not leak through to the exterior.
Are PackIt coolers mold resistant?
Though freezing the PackIt may kill some forms of mold that would form in other coolers, we can’t guarantee it. We recommend regular cleaning of the PackIt to prevent bacteria from growing inside. If you use the cooler on most weekdays, it’s best to clean it weekly. Whether you’re using soap and water or a wet wipe, allow the bag to air-dry completely before freezing to avoid the formation of frost.
