We get asked a lot about how long our bags stay cool. The answer – well, it varies! Especially depending on what environment our freezable bags are placed in. However, we have three quick and easy tips you can implement into your lunch routine tomorrow! So no matter where you bring your PackIt, try these tricks to keep your lunch items cooler for longer!
#1: WRAP YOUR FOOD IN ALUMINUM
Aluminum acts as good insulator and has the ability to reflect heat away from the objects wrapped inside. Aluminum foil also prevents odors, germs, and flavors from escaping, keeping your food fresh for longer periods of time. This is such a simple and inexpensive way to preserve your food during long days at work, school, or out and about!
#2: PLACE PERISHABLE ITEMS AT BASE OF FREEZABLE LUNCH BAG
The base of our bags are surrounded by gel packs – on the bottom, in the front, and back. Rather than placing your milk and yogurt at the top of the bag, where you might be opening and closing the bag often and allowing air in the bag, place these items at the bottom. Also stacking other cooler items on top will add keep these items from perishing in half the time.
#3: PLACE YOUR LUNCH BAG IN THE COOLEST PLACE YOU CAN FIND
This may seem obvious, but simply placing our lunch bag in an area that is 5-10 degrees cooler, can make the worlds difference. PackIt's freezable cooling technology is meant to endure hotter temperatures, but will stay cooler for longer if placed in a shaded or colder environment.
Now that you've learned these three simple and easy tips, say goodbye to soggy and spoiled lunches! You can now maximize PackIt's gel wall cooling technology to it's full potential. If you know other tips to keep your lunch items fresh all day, please share with us and leave a comment below!
